Google a published a post last night in which it announces several improvements for its browser. In particular, she mentions an improved version of the Safety Check tool.
As noted by the company, this revamped version is now in the background of ” take more proactive measures “. It should inform about actions taken, revoke permissions for sites that are no longer visited, report potentially unwanted notifications, or even remind people of possible unresolved security issues.
Chrome can also take action against notifications that are considered offensive. Authorizations can then be revoked if the information reported by Google Safe Browsing indicates a site that misleads Internet users. On computers, these warnings may also concern extensions whose behavior may be problematic. Its removal will be left to the discretion of the Internet user.
Still for all users on Android and PC (not iOS apparently), it is possible to give unique permissions to a website. For example, in the case of a website that requests access to the camera for a video conference, the authorization is deleted as soon as the page is closed. The website will no longer be able to use it until the internet user has again given their explicit consent.

Finally, you can more easily unsubscribe from notifications from a website. The button is available directly in the notification drawer. Chrome does not need to be open. According to Google tests, this feature will reduce the volume of notifications by 30%. However, this improvement is only available on Android: first on Pixels, then on all models.
Google indicates in its post that these features are being rolled out.
