Five sailors are missing after cargo ship capsized off the state’s coast Pernambucoat Brazil. The ship Concordia Sunk on Sunday evening, about 15 kilometers off the coast of Ponta de Pedras in the Guiana region.
During the search and rescue operation, four crew members were found alive and five more are being searched for, according to the information from the representative of the Brazilian Navy.
The ship owner Antonio Gonsalves told the G1 network that the Concordia was transporting food and construction materials from Recife to the Fernando de Noronha archipelago. The island complex is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Brazil.
