In the midst of a deep component crisis, Apple is preparing to launch a new line of laptops soon with the MacBook Pro M5 Pro and M5 Max.

Apple continues to renew its computer lines. Scarce MacBook Pro M5 was launched in October 2025 that more powerful models should be coming soon according to information obtained by Bloomberg.
The English-speaking newspaper, always very well informed about the Apple firm’s plans, explains that versions of the MacBook Pro equipped with the M5 Pro and M5 Max chip should arrive between the end of February and the beginning of March.
Break on previous models
The idea would be to match the release of these machines with that of macOS 26.3 which is expected at the same time. Until then, rumors pointed to a launch a little later in the year, around the end of March or beginning of April. But this time, it seems like the manufacturer wants to speed up its schedule to flood the market with its ultra high-end machines as soon as possible.
Because yes, let’s remember, the models equipped with the Pro/Max chip are the ones that will hit the top of the basket, in terms of performance and price. Especially on the MacBook Pro series, which are already intended for advanced uses. So we should expect the prices announced by Apple to be in line with these ambitions. Especially in times of RAM shortage.
Further indicating that these new devices (internally nicknamed J714 and J716) are about to hit the market, the resident models are slowly starting to run out of stock. The standard MacBook Pro M4 does not suffer from any delivery delays in the French Apple Store, while the models with Pro and Max chips are announced for delivery between mid-February and mid-March.
A Toaster MacBook Pro?
It’s hard to predict when exactly Apple will launch its new machines, or whether they’ll even be entitled to a proper keynote, but in any case, if you’ve been planning to buy a high-end MacBook Pro in the coming days, it might be wiser to wait.
