With the launch of the new Omajin series, Netatmo aims to address all those who would like to equip their home with home automation devices, but who do not want to bother with too complicated configurations or spend too much.

« We want to address a larger audience, with objects that simplify everyday life at a lower cost. », explains Alexandre Menu, chief director of Netatmo. Omajin stands out for its simpler approach, with products promised to be easier to install and use.
All this goes through a dedicated application, which is a good idea to centralize device management in the same place, but which is also a blocking factor: the lack of compatibility with other platforms, such as the Maison de the iPhone, prevents the use of these products along with others. Therefore, they will not be able to integrate home automation scenarios involving multiple devices from different brands. However, the manufacturer promises future support for Google Assistant and Alexa.
Netatmo also ignores the Matter standard, which of course has its own problems, but at least ensures compatibility with all compatible products (there are more and more of them). Nevertheless, Netatmo can promote the prices of the Omajin series, which are indeed more affordable than other competitors.
The solar camera (€164.99) is designed for outdoor installation and works with a solar panel and a rechargeable battery. It is equipped with a motion detector, a siren and a two-way communication system. With its IP55 certification, it is weatherproof and offers an enhanced security solution.
The wireless security camera (€114.99) stands out with its 2K resolution and long-lasting battery. Using artificial intelligence, it can distinguish humans from animals to avoid false alarms.
As for the video doorbell (€134.99), it allows you to monitor the entrance to your home while remaining simple to install and use. Equipped with a long-lasting battery and an anti-sabotage siren, it offers enhanced protection against intrusion.
The baby monitor (€89.99) is another flagship product in the range. It offers continuous monitoring using a 2K camera and integrates important functions such as cry detection and air quality measurement. Additionally, the mobile app allows you to create routines to automatically soothe your baby.
Finally, the smart socket (€19.99) allows you to remotely control electrical appliances in the home and monitor energy consumption in real time. A practical tool to better manage your daily use and reduce your energy costs.
