The island of Norway that has removed watches and time has no meaning

Imagine a place where the watches are just decorative or not at all. Where time doesn’t matter and all that counts is the sunlight. So it happens in Sommarøy, the carefree island of Norway, where the time is completely relevant.

This island is in the Arctic Circle and never undergoes the sun for 70 consecutive days in the summer. This means that there is no night! Here, the residents decided that the watches were superfluous. So they took them out of their homes, squares and work and worked without a program!

Fishing at 3 in the morning? No problem. Bike ride at 11pm? Why not? Soccer at 4 in the morning? Natural. People on this island work, relax and enjoy it when they feel it, not if a watch says.
