H Xiaomialong with the Xiaomi 15 and 15 Pro and also introduced the latest version of the HyperOS 2 Android skin, packed with artificial intelligence.
HyperOS 2 introduces three “key technological innovations” to devices sold in China, HyperCore, HyperConnect and HyperAI. Combined, these will work to deliver a “fresh, advanced experience in foundational functionality, intelligent connectivity between devices and artificial intelligence interactions.”
HyperOS 2 comes with a new scheduler, as well as improved management of memory and I/O resources. It also brings a redesigned scheduling system and “continuous technological breakthroughs in Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and 5G” to “guarantee network connectivity in all scenarios without dead spots”.
The operating system brings a new cinematic lock screen heavily based on artificial intelligence, dynamic AI-generated wallpapers, a new home screen layout with “visual upgrades and customized content” for “more and richer widgets,” new and smoother animations and a new 3D weather representation in the accompanying application.

Users will now be able to control it smartphone from their tablet in a windowed UI and there is a cross-device clipboard as well as support for cross-device video recording.
There are many more AI features like AI Magic Painting, AI Voice Recognition with real-time text conversion during recording and automatic summarization afterwards, AI writing tools (text generation, summarization, error correction), AI translation for meetings, calls and videos with real-time bilingual subtitles and simultaneous interpretation and AI Anti-Fraud to detect calls from fraudsters or videos where the faces have been changed.

All these features are only applicable to Chinese devices. The first updates will be released for the series in November Xiaomi 14 the Xiaomi Mix Fold 4 and Mix Flip, the Redmi K70 series and the Xiaomi Pad 6S Pro 12.4.

In December comes the update in the series Xiaomi 13 in the Mix Fold 3 series, Civi 4 Pro, Redmi K60 series, Redmi Turbo 3 and Redmi Note 14, along with the Xiaomi Pad 6 series and Redmi Pads. Then more devices will receive the update in the first half of 2025. This schedule only applies to Chinese devices.

Xiaomi has not yet announced the international version of HyperOS 2, nor its release schedule.
